In John 15, Jesus teaches that he is the vine, and God is the vine dresser. We, his people, are the branches.
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Jesus talks about how without being attached to the vine, we don’t produce fruit.
My mission is to help women grow in their faith, and abide in the vine. By doing so, I aim to help women live a fruitful, faithful, and intentional life.
We already know who the vine-dresser, the vine, and the branches are… but what are the twigs?
I call the different “segments” of our lives twigs. These include:
We need to understand that we need to abide in the vine in ALL those segments of life. In fact, our very lives should flow from the vine.
Together, we’ll talk about how we can ensure that as women, we’re living fruitful lives by tending to these 4 areas of life.
In each post, and in all the resources you’ll find here, we will address one or more of these areas of life.
You can also find the FACEBOOK GROUP here. This is a community where we focus on keeping the ‘twigs’ of our lives in shape, with the help of the vine-dresser, so that we can be healthy branches, abiding in the vine.
